Spanning the private and public sectors, FWA has extensive experience working on design-build projects with a variety of contractors across the Mid-Atlantic. FWA has a large portfolio of USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) design-build projects at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), ranging from small office tenant fit-outs, to complex, full-service projects upwards of $20M+. Other federal design-build projects include the Federal Reserve Board (FRB), General Services Administration (GSA), and Federal Judicial Center. Our portfolio also extends to commercial offices, retail establishments, car dealerships, various utility buildings, wastewater treatment plants, and medical offices.

An education facility can play a large role in student development and learning. FWA commits to providing students with every opportunity to learn through our designs and mentoring programs as a partnership with local high school and colleges. The relationships we maintain with both public and private school systems keeps FWA’s technical staff updated on education trends to accommodate in our designs from security measures to the newest technology.

Our project managers are experienced in providing project design, construction documents, bidding services and construction administration to fufill the multi-phase process for each project.

Maryland is an ideal location for national and international companies to use as a mid-Atlantic hub with proximity to the Chesapeake Bay, railways and major highways for trucking. As a result, FWA has become an expert in the building design; codes and site layout to facilitate manufacturing and distribution to the East Coast and internationally. FWA provides the initial site and building design, as well as the systemic upgrades throughout the lifetime of the facility.

The residential development process is multifaceted from the feasibility study period through the construction of homes for families to live and grow. FWA manages the entire process with consideration of the clients’, communities’ and environment’s needs to maximize the investment opportunity and the aesthetics of the area. With residential designs constructed in Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City, FWA maintains relationships with local government to simplify the entitlement and permitting process. FWA’s services continue through construction by assisting builders and contractors with construction stake out and as built surveys and bond releases.

FWA works with both the private and public sector to provide design for the treatment of water and waste water. Our engineers are seasoned in numerous systems with diversity from single home to waste water treatment plants. FWA becomes entrenched in the details of a water system to provide thorough recommendations, modeling and design of water distribution and transmission, booster stations, waste water collection, waste water pumping stations and treatment.
